
WWF's Naturewatch is an international environmental education program especially for countries bordering the Baltic Sea, including a section on coastal research.
The Finnish Environment Institute has been involved in developing a feedback form with WWF Finland, so that data on the state of the coast collected by students can be used in following the state of the marine environment.
Nodu is a research and environmental education project has been co-run by FIMR and the Finnish Sea Scouts which concentrates on the Baltic Seaecosystem. Its aim is to teach young people to make scientificobservations and to use these observations to better understand thesensitive Baltic Sea and spread knowledge about the environment.
