Aranda cruises

Merentutkimuslaiva Aranda. Kuva  Janne Bruun.R/V Aranda is third research vessel which was called Aranda and it is fourth Finnish research vessel. The newest Aranda was completed in 1989 in Helsinki. The ship is owned by the Finnish Environment Institute, and its home port is Helsinki. The length of the ship is 59,2 m, its beam 13,8 m and gross register weight 1734 GT. Aranda is a modern, ice-reinforced research vessel adapted to multidisciplinary marine research around the year. Aranda was originally planned for the Baltic Sea research, but has proved herself on the high seas as well. She has visited the Arctic Ocean and made two expeditions to the Antarctic.
